Apex Tactical Institute, in partnership with Dark Gift Combat

R.A.T. 3.0 (Rapid Assault Tactics), now offers an instructor course that builds on its cutting-edge curriculum. This advanced course is designed for individuals who wish to become certified instructors, equipped to teach both the tactical principles of R.A.T. 3.0 and the integration of firearms training in real-world combat situations.

The Instructor Course combines the core elements of Rapid Assault Tactics with comprehensive firearms training techniques, ensuring that participants can effectively pass on their expertise to others. The curriculum includes an in-depth exploration of tactics, firearms safety, marksmanship, and combat psychology, as well as the specialized skills required to teach these concepts to future students.

Key areas of focus for instructor candidates include:

  • Firearms Mastery and Teaching Techniques: Instructors must demonstrate a thorough understanding of a variety of firearms, including handguns, rifles, and shotguns. They learn to not only master weapon handling and shooting techniques but also how to teach these skills to others, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency in high-stress environments.

  • R.A.T. 3.0 Tactical Applications: Instructor candidates are trained in the Rapid Assault Tactics system, including the integration of firearms with hand-to-hand combat, close-quarters battle, and tactical movements. They learn to develop training scenarios that challenge students’ decision-making under pressure, simulating real-life encounters where split-second choices can make all the difference.

  • Safety and Risk Management: Given the high-risk nature of tactical and firearms training, candidates are instructed on maintaining the highest safety standards, including range safety protocols, emergency procedures, and managing potential hazards in live training environments.

  • Communication and Leadership Skills: As instructors, candidates will need to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively. The course trains them in teaching techniques, from creating lesson plans to providing constructive feedback in both one-on-one and group settings.

  • Scenario-Based Training: Students practice setting up and leading realistic training scenarios that combine firearms, defensive tactics, and real-world combat situations. This includes force-on-force exercises, live-fire drills, and timed tactical challenges that mirror potential threats faced by military, law enforcement, or civilian operators.

  • Psychological Conditioning: Instructor candidates also receive training in the psychological aspects of combat and how to teach students to stay calm under pressure. This includes mental conditioning techniques to help both instructors and students maintain focus, clarity, and resilience in high-stress scenarios.

Upon completion, certified instructors are fully prepared to lead their own classes, passing on the knowledge of both R.A.T. 3.0 tactics and firearms proficiency. They will be qualified to train a range of individuals, from military and law enforcement personnel to civilians looking to improve their tactical awareness and self-defense skills.

This Instructor Course ensures that not only are students trained to be highly skilled operators, but they can also contribute to the broader tactical community by sharing their knowledge and experience with others. Whether as a personal instructor or part of a larger tactical training organization, these certified instructors will play a critical role in enhancing the preparedness and effectiveness of those they train.
